Finances (not mine), Ranting

So I am responsible for keeping track of finances for a local Orga and its a nightmare.

I dont have direct access to most of the money we technically own, so my own List of Expenses and Income is the closest thing we have to reliable data.

Only Minor issue, Nobody Communicates anything properly or via a Central Channel I could easily check. My bookkeeping is solid, I know what I am doing, but if I have absolutely no chance to get accurate data. Often I am not even in the loop when money is spend. I am basically trying to do finances while blindfolded and am reduced to:

"Yeah these are our finances, they are probably off by give or take 300 Euros, I dont know, I really fucking hope we will never have money issues"

I have tried reworking our finances so much to make it more observable and I have made some improvements, but it just feels like some Sysiphean Task.

Like if I try to introduce how its actually done in Economics, nobody except me understands it, but if I dont, it becomes impossible to observe.

Also, none of the various Excellike tools have interoperable Functions, soo any kind of Migration is a nightmare and I am not yet smart enough to do it via my own Systems.

The only slight relief is that I managed to get through our orga a change, that reduces our responsibilty dramatically, cause we will no longer be responsible for Planning Expenses, just for executing them (well hopefully).
