Cannot check in at the hotel that I already paid for and cannot refund. The reason for why this doesn't work is because they, without any reason whatsoever, want to know my fucking gender, and they only have "Female" and "Male" as options.
This is illegal via GDPR and German data protection law, by the way. There are zero valid reasons for them to want to know this information. ESPECIALLY because this is part of an id check and German id cards don't even have this information on them
So, just as a heads up, never stay at "NUMA"-brand hotels.

@star 2 things here from someone that worked in an hotel for 3 and a half years (in Canada but whatever)
1. We have never asked for any kind of gender identity, like what the fuck? Why would a hotel need to know information beyond "does your name match your id card"?????
2. Every time I hear about a company contacting guests through Whatsapp, it is a scam. We had multiple guests in the span of a few months asked us why we contacted them through Whatsapp AND IT WASN'T US... So yeah, Whatsapp in my mind is only used by scammers lol
That hotel sucks ass and deserves to be shut down hard.

@star numa is a bullshit semi-illegal company anyways. They hog apartments here in berlin and rent them as airbnb thingies even though thats probably illegal.
@LeelaTorres Yes, yes!!! They aren't aware of anything, seemingly. And in my situation I cannot do shit about it. I just have to suck it up and take it, or lose my 340 euros
