Sometimes I think it would be interesting to do those tests I did for my autism diagnosis 6-7 years ago* again now. Not that it matters, but it would be interesting to see if I've gotten any better at e.g. reading emotions visually (I absolutely bombed that one lol).

* It has been this long already, damn Oo

@fugi same. i did some tests for adhd and autism in a controlled setting 2 years ago. they forgot to tell me to not take my usual adhd meds :D
especially for the tests for autism (one with a task to guess the thoughts of the other actors in a situation and one guessing the emotion from the eyes of human faces alone) I had the strong impression that I consciously learned the skills in question in the previous years, and was not "gifted" them during childhood.

@fugi btw: I didn't cross the diagnosis thresholds for adhd nor asd. Which didn't really surprise me as I know that on their own they can't factor in the masking, compensation strategies and life experience offsetting the "natural intuition" when one is older.

@LenaEine Yeah, I also think that I've actively learned a lot of skills, because I had to. Not so much already by 17 when I did the diagnosis, but by today definitely. Especially with social and emotional skills/development, I always felt like I was lagging behind by about 5 years, but in the last few years I've done a lot and think I've caught up by now. ^^
