Guess what? If your phone runs mainline , you can just play Java Edition on it. This is a Oneplus 8T running and Minecraft runs at a stable 25 FPS with 16 chunks render distance.

Some folks in the sm8250-mainline matrix channel and I have been working on getting this phone mainlined and so far we have a lot working. These changes are not merged into PostmarketOS yet but that is something I intend to do soon.

This video was also shot on PostmarketOS so this is a end-to-end Linux video production.

@knievelcat Hello, have you got performance optimization mods installed?

If not, adding them might help to get to 60fps stable. Also I think 16chunks is overkill most of the time, use that big if you want to find something.

2-4 is normal once you have settled in some area.

You can get really optimized by using Fabric loader and optimization mods which are usually all in the first pages of Modrinth.

@soupborsh I have lithium and sodium installed. I just wanted to see if it would work I'm not doing actual gaming on my phone
