(German) medical system rant, gender affirming care (targeting men), hormone blockers
It's so dumb how every finasteride packaging says "No Women 💁🏻♀️🚫 allowed to take this 🙅🏻♂️ only MEN 💪😤" on it. As if women had no testosterone at all and T-related genetic factors like androgenetic alopecia just the same.All because it's not as well tested and probably bad during pregnancy, which is a woman's primary function of course. /sarcasm
It's also really fucked up that 1mg pills (which are prescribed against androgenetic hair loss) cost TEN TIMES as much (0.70-1.40€/mg) as 5mg pills (0.07-0.18€/mg, prescribed against enlarged prostate).
It's literally the same drug! They're just using gender affirming medical care – which this is for cis men, the target demographic, just the same as for trans people – for extorting more money out of people with gender dysphoria!
