subpost, suicidality mention, policeCalling the cops on a person because they're suicidal or tolerating that an acquaintance calls the cops on them is never okay. What is so hard to understand about ACAB?
subpost, suicidality mention, police@Ravenize If I call 112, dispatch decides who they're sending, not me. And I am not letting friends die just because theoretically, cops could come.
subpost, suicidality mention, police@star@Ravenize you can still tell them the information they need before arrival to make arrive the right ones and tell them all the details later. that way you not risk any life but still getting needed help. (especially when you don't say anything that might mean the police should come.)
subpost, suicidality mention, police@ellis Yes. My point was just that, even if it is against my will when calling the number explicitly not for police, but for emergency services, they might still send the police as well, and depending on the situation, that's a risk I'd take. Of course I would take steps to prevent this from happening.
