The flagship Element X iOS client obviously can't join a room url shared in chat, silly. You just have to open the url in your browser, click open in Element, wait multiple minutes for legacy Element to sync and then you can join the room. It's that simple :)

@fugi with how many new clients there are, sometimes it feels like the entire matrix client ecosystem is being rewritten from scratch

@fugi oof, but the whole OS is kinda lacking QA these days isnt it? the new iOS keyboard apparently removed support for some czech characters leading to people locked out who used them in passcodes…
