anti-"woke" bs, Star Trek@fugi okay but actually, is it good? Average? Below-average? Or terrible?
People always whine about NuTrek, but I mostly like it, so I'm unsure if section 31 is genuinely bad or if it's all just whinging and hot air. Haven't dared watch yet.
anti-"woke" bs, Star Trek@kboyd I haven't watched Section 31 yet either, but these same people are ranting about how terrible e.g. Discovery allegedly is, and I enjoyed watching that a lot. π€·ββοΈ
I can't say how it compares to the older stuff tho, I have only watched a little bit of TNG out of those.
anti-"woke" bs, Star Trek@fugi I've watched everything except The Animated Series.
Discovery was great, and I was really bummed out that people were so negative about it. Picard was ... okay. Flawed, in places. But damn do I wish they'd make a Titan-with-Captain-Seven spinoff.
anti-"woke" bs, Star Trek@fugi@kboyd Section 31, unfortunately, is genuinely terrible, first and foremost because of its blatant βthe CIA is good and necessary, actuallyβ message. It's also simply not a good movie. Being woke is the one problem it doesn't have, though.
