Its kinda funny that the only thing stopping me from just doing DIY when I feel like it, is that it would be unreasonable.

Starting right before exam season, unreasonable. Starting after, 2 Months before the official process would start, unreasonable.

Both arguments on their own are fully valid, but waiting 5 months feels horrid, cause I cant do anything.

@Quz the thing is, there could come any kind of other reason in the future why it might not be a good time to start at that time. As it is for a lot of things, be it transitioning or relationships or ...
Sometimes the best time is now, because there might not come a better suited time at all, or by the time it comes you might regret not having done it earlier.

Just keep that in mind in your considerations (which are completely valid, and in the end it's only up to you) :)
