I wonder if Signal has a disaster recovery plan for if or when their stuff gets deleted from AWS, or if that datacenter just burns to a crisp. I hope they could get up and running again on a different platform rather quickly

Though, still, I'll have to point out the radically different threat models covered by each application, and how Signal barely has any information about you at any given point, while Matrix has a critical vulnerability every semester, has the potential for you to be impersonated by home server admins if you are not careful (even in encrypted rooms), etc.
