drive replaced, zpool resilvered successfully. there seems to have been some filesystem corruption on a couple vms, so i'm restoring some backups of those right now. once that's done we should be fully back online

this time it's one of the actual storage array disks that hold all the vm disk images. it's only 1/4 out of a striped mirror so should be no actual data loss but i am seeing some data corruption, so everything's off until further notice. i have plenty backups so that won't be a major issue anyway, just gotta replace the drive

new ssd ready to pick up. heath checks on the rest of the NAS (memtest86+, scrubbing the other storage zpools) all passed. we're looking good for a return to working order by the end of the day

hey so my NAS' hard drive has decided to give up the ghost on me out of nowhere. soooooo that means fedi.foxgirl.engineering is gonna be down for a bit. @star has given me an account here that i'll be using until i can go and get a new nvme drive and reinstall everything on there so i'll be hanging out here for a bit
