@katzenmann Yeah I'm fine with foot being minimal too. But I find it a real shame with alacritty, that simple tabs, not even splits or anything fancy, is too much to ask for. I'm trying alacritty+zellij now and it's better than nothing, but it's just not comparable in usability to native tabs, imo.

I did actually try (win)ghostty today, but its beta windows port turned out to be not usable unfortunately (some tabs froze up completely all the time).

@katzenmann In this case Alacritty, only good one I know that supports all major platforms. But I've also read the same takes about/from foot.

@schrottkatze It's too shitposty for reality, but idk I imagine some middle ground would be more easily achievable than a total ban. Since advertising companies would lobby hard against being forced out of business (which they should be)

AI- I feel like nowadays, whenever I stumble upon a cool project I hadn't heard of before, or a pretty artwork, I always have to second guess whether it was actually made with care by sentient creatures, or whether it's just an imitation of true skill and art. I hardly ever watch youtube videos of channels I don't know to be human-made anymore.

This genuinely makes me really sad. They have taken that kind of innocent sense of wonder and excitement about novelty I always used to have away from me.
