🧵 About my experience with my Framework Laptop 13 Pro
I have only had this laptop for about 24 hours now, but it is pretty awesome so far! Everything about it feels very premium, from the aluminum chassis and lid, to the haptic trackpad to the amazing keyboard, to the subtly nanocoated display which also just looks stunning! It performs really well and seems to hold a charge for quite some time. I have used it almost exclusively for Rust and Nix tasks for now, and even there, the fan barely kicks on; only when I compile something for maybe 5–10 minutes is when it actually starts making a noise, and the fan doesn't sound like an offense to my ears either. The last laptop I have owned was a MacBook Pro M1 from 2020, which I bought new at the time, and I'd say that this very easily on par with that in terms of raw build quality. I am very happy, because given Framework reputation, I feared having to send it back. But no, not yet at least! :3
