@nu That's really mean. I know all of my colleagues who have worked on this project very well and we ALL dislike AI. From the Famedly side, none of the developers assigned to the project have used AI to write any code in this project. The state of this repository is the result of a lot of very hard work and sleepless nights, done by very good people, vocally against AI. We also have one developer from the BWI side whom I don't know that well yet, so I cannot guarantee no AI usage there, but he is also an extremely competent engineer who knows his shit and has been very inspiring and I have learned a lot from him.
WE internally know our opinion about AI. This contribution guidelines document is for the outside contributors, and we cannot ban it because our customer doesn't want it. I do not appreciate your reaction and I think its pretty disrespectful.
@star any arguments back and forth are useless in this regard, it is disappointing that the response is defensive instead of acknowledging it properly however, the document is there and states what it states. I get it it sucks that that is the state of corporate work, it is just dreadful but there is no reason to treat it as something where you need to purify yourself like its a test instead of again, acknowledging it properly
@nu You are calling the work of mine and my friends and colleagues past 1.5 years slop and I think that's pretty darn disrespectful. I did what I fucking could, but my hands are tied at some point. If you cannot handle that like a reasonable person, then please leave.
@solonovamax xD I have complained about this as well, but have never had the time to clean this up. Do feel free to make an issue or a MR about it though! c:
@solonovamax And the answer is: Natural growth. At the beginning it was just .gitignore and Cargo files, but over a long period of time, tooling kept getting added. That's to our benefit, but to the dismay of... how the repo tree looks x3
