Ok so Sable (Matrix Client) got a pretty neat update, but does not support Legacy Sync (non-sliding-sync) anymore.

In other words, if you have an account on a home server without sliding sync and you use Sable, tough luck, because they update applied automatically and there's no way to revert it.

@star you should be able to use legacy.sable.moe and any old versions of stuff, but it wont be getting updates 😔

@star Which servers do not support sliding sync? Dendrite maybe?

Edit: Oh yeah dendrite doesn't support it. But it looks like the project is dead now anyway

@star legacy.sable.moe just popped up though, so its at least one way to keep using what works before if you can't use sliding sync

also afaik my home server (matrix.beeper.com) should support sliding sync but i'm constantly getting logged out when switching pages.
