airing slight grievances about FOSS music players Can ANYONE tell me why the fuck it is so hard for open source audio players (esp. Navidrome clients) to have functional audio normalization??????? One track is normal, the next is super silent; I turn up my volume only to have my ears exploded when the next track starts playing. Yes yes, ReplayGain, sure, but why don't you just.............. do this as a completely client-side feature. aaaaalkjisdflkj;sdgflkj;sgdflkj;sfgdlkj;

personal opinion re: airing slight grievances about FOSS music players @star wouldn't care about it being an option, but i think a lot of people would agree that i don't want a client to be messing with my files or the audio at all, i want it to play exactly what's in the files and if the volumes are weird then that's a problem with my library that i need to fix myself?

personal opinion re: airing slight grievances about FOSS music players @sammy Nothing wrong with this being a toggleable option! I can see why you would want that. But for more casual listeners, such as myself... there's a reason for why this ships enabled by default in Spotify and co.
