Surgery is complete. I am in great pain. But I am now on a road to recovery such that I will not have to endure this suffering ever again.

EDIT: when I am more stable, I intend to provide pictures of my abdomen for the education and curiosity of my subset of the public.

EDIT 2: photograph appended.
Multiple sealed gauze sites from laparoscopic surgery - 3 of then a consistent radius away from the one by my navel, for a total of 4. I am wearing flannel pajamas, which - by the shirt being button-up - allowed me to put it on post-surgery without pulling a shirt over my head. And aside from temperature concerns, these are very comfortable and suitably loose clothes.
