For years before slopcodding came along, it was widely agreed that reading and understanding code takes longer than writing it in the first place.

If you really are reading and understanding and thinking about all the code your slop machine generates, why should we believe that you’ve had a productivity
increase?

And, yeah, every single time i have seen this claim of a "productivity increase" fact-checked, the answer has been: no, no it does
not do that.
