Shitting on Go @lilly nooo, they wrote the sun in Go, to be cloud-native. The reason why we have 12h of nighttime is because that's when the garbage collector runs <3

tbh I don't understand why go doesn't just take inspiration from either zgc or shen for a better gc

whereas, afaik, go's GC is closer to CMS (I could be wrong on this though)

is go's GC even generational? from my understanding, it's not. which like, why. why would you not make it generational.
generational GCs are just Better and help reduce thrashing and needing to constantly move around long-lived objects during the compaction phase
