@alexia i chose codeberg over hosting my own forge because i wanted to have the least possible additional friction over github, where everyone already has an account. you might also already have a codeberg account, but you don't usually have a starforge account. and yes, you log in there with codeberg oauth, but that is still additional friction over codeberg
@star yes and that's ok, I always say this as a half-joke for a reason :P
it's not like we haven't talked about why not our own forge before , though I would still personally be jolly if we figured out a good way to do our own forge
@star though with that in mind, there's plenty projects much bigger than us that are doing just fine with a third-party forge, while there's some initial friction the real-world drawbacks aren't that enormous in practice, not in my experience and seemingly not in continuwuity's experience either*
