Like a good little stereotype, I have been wearing Vans for the past >4 years
neocat_googly_shocked celeste_hearts_lesbian

They have been maintained and, after the last superglueing of the soles which no longer wanted to be a part of the rest of the shoe anymore, are
really on their last legs.

I am looking for a new pair of shoes. I would like to stay with low, skater-style sneakers, because I think they are very comfortable and fit almost any outfit. Price is not that much of an issue; I am willing to save up and spend decent money if it means that the pair will last me for at least a couple years. A Europe-based brand would be very nice too, as I live in Germany. Do you have any brand or shoe recommendations for meeeee?

re: :boost_requested: Boost requested, DuckDuckFedi (clothes/shoes) @star a few comments that are probably not what you want exactly
to make your shoes last more, wear different ones. they can be the exact same one, but try letting your shoes "rest" and dry for 24-48 hours depending on the materials and how much you sweat. repeatedly pressing down on the rubber is a good recipe for them to wear down faster than you would want

second, this is not a small brand, but you can consider the Nike SB ones. specifically the SB ones, because it's the Skateboarding sub-brand, they are comfortable, chunky (most of them), more resistant than pure vulcanized rubber like normal vans or converse, and come in an overwhelming variety of materials and colors, depending how much you are willing to play with limited time sneakers

the Nike SB Dunk Low is the most popular one, for a good reason. there are also other SB sneakers that would fit the bill, the ishod, the blazer (very reminiscent of the classic canvas ones), the paul rodriguez, and more recently Nike SB even customized the Air Force 1, you can find it on a few colors, I would bet it would last at least two vans simply because AF1s are tanks

(I'm more of a Nike girl so I'm sorry I don't have indie brands to recommend)
