LLMs, I'm going on a rant It's kind of amazing that we made computers, the venerated "following instructions exactly" machine, incapable of following instructions.

People who want to just type in "natural language" (read: english) and still get "computer data" in response, because they think that computers now understand local human convention and contexts, are arrogant and pathetic. What do you mean, you can't be bothered to learn to interact with a computer in one of its native languages? You colonialist fuck. Eight year old kids can do it, but a 34 year old guy with business degrees can't? Just stay away from computers then. Stop corrupting deterministic and precise systems with your fucking "vibes". Stop
demanding that system scientists abandon our systems of precise instructions for your failed fucking mentalist robot. IT CAN'T READ YOUR MIND AND IT WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO, SO STOP PRETENDING THIS IS A BETTER WAY TO GO ABOUT THINGS

Jesus fuck, if you want
compute labor, hire a programmer.

LLMs, I'm going on a rant @wizbean Even though I can empathize with what you are trying to say, I think you worded it in a manner that reads as extremely privileged and very generalizing

re: LLMs, I'm going on a rant @star I've made more moderate and well mannered posts on this subject as well. I'm exhausted from the constant onslaught of AI hype and "this will replace the old way" retoric, and sometimes I get angry about it. Sorry that I have the privilege of having taught myself programming with no teachers and nothing but documentation, and being able to choose not to pay billionaires to have their computer do it for me. This makes AI influencers angry at me and so I become angry at them. I disagree with the assessment that they are less privileged than me. Of course I'm generalizing.

I'll reiterate that I'm talking about the people promoting AI in order to take away personal computing, and apologize again that I put my disclaimer in a reply and not at the top of the OP.
