Discussion of pornography moderationNo, I don't think hashtags, content warnings and blurring images is enough on servers like mastodon.social, which carry the Mastodon brand up front in their name.
Those servers will better promote Mastodon and the rest of the Fediverse if they don't expose people to pornography, which many people would qualify as harmful, unhealthy or undesirable content.
Mastodon is free software, and you're free to go set up your own server centered around whatever content or topics you like.
But Mastodon's flagship servers should be safe for people of all ages (including children), including vulnerable and sensitive people.

and um.. why not exactly? seems pretty good to me;
the only reason i can possibly see is if you hate people having autonomy and/or hate consent.

if people having the option to engage with it at their own freaking choice is a problem to you; if you are so spooked out at the idea of being allowed to choose what you see, that you need someone else to force everyone else to fit your own bullshit standards- then you are the harmful one, you are the one with an unhealthy influence on the community and you are the one who is 'undesired"
something cannot be harmful if it is consentual, you are just trying to override other peoples consent, which is the real harmful thing .. and should be seen as such and treated as such.
