@lea@astraluma Meanwhile, it feels dreadfully like nothing at all if done with AI. No gratification, no dopamine rush, just the feeling that you cheated and are using AI as a crutch.
Many people still do it this way. Worse, some even prefer it. Writing good code, putting both my brain and heart into something, and using it as an opportunity to refine my skills; I fucking live for that shit. That this is not shared by these people is a new realization. I’ve had so much fun doing this computer-touching thing all this time—with or without pay—and have been surrounded by my neuroqueer peers who feel the same about code or other activities like drawing or making music. I never realized this could be not fun for these people. Honestly, that’s been eye-opening. That’s why things are the way they are. Because these people have the wheel and would rather perish than have someone who actually cares about having the wheel have the wheel.
