like what do you mean today's fedi controversy is that there is an instance out there that boosts hashtagged posts and they dared make it opt-out
girl are you listening to yourself. the post is already being indexed by hashtags anyways. the bot just..boosts them to get a more comprehensive view across servers
it doesn't bridge anything, it doesn't store your posts, it just sends out boost activities from things it gets from already existing relays
mind you, the software that tags.pub runs needs improvement as it seems currently it does not support any kind of blocklist which would be needed to keep the boosted content clean of things like CSAM, but the core concept of the software isn't somehow anti-consent or something.
