has anyone modified a (flawed-design) one-hose portable AC unit to have two hoses out the window? does anyone have any recommendations for which one to buy? it is pretty severely disabled and the heatwave in DE is disabling it further so anything is appreciated better AC designs are not an option due to apartment restrictions, nothing can be out of the window. official dual-hose designs are also unusually rare and/or expensive
@0x7700e6 I have successfully done this on my Midea unit using a cardboard box, duct tape, a boxcutter and an extra tube. The box gets cut to shape so that it fits over the air intake, corners and folds get duct taped to prevent leakage, box on intake, duct tape sides and corners until leak-free, cut tube sized hole in box, put tube in hole, put other end out window, facing away from the exhaust tube if possible to prevent circular airflow
