🏗️ codeberg.org/polyphony/repo-slopscore under construction! repo-slopscore will be a CLI + webapp, with which you can scan any public, https://-accessible git repo for signs of slop activity from all sorts of different LLMs and AI tools. It will calculate a "slopscore" and give a tier from S to F for how much slop activity has been detected. We'll let you know once you can try it out yourself!
"Why is a chat project working on such a tool? " Many reasons! For one, I happened to find myself with extra free time on my hands paws and found it to be a good idea to put such software in the hands of an organization with existing community contact channels, CI and hosting resources and other infrastructure.
Secondly, we would like to depend on as little slop-software as possible in our finished product. Sadly, it is quite hard and time consuming to thoroughly assess a repository for sloppiness. This is a problem predestined to be solved by computers, and as such, it makes sense to create and share such a solution with the larger community!
