ai/llms @thing i think calling helix slop is a bit over the top, but most certainly not a very helpful descriptor. out of over 7700 commits made in the lifetime of helix, a singular one, made on march 14th, was co-authored by claude. yeah, it sucks that that happened, but i really do not think that this makes the entirety of helix "slop"

ai/llms @star @thing you're not going to have software at all for much longer with the standard of "if anyone touched an ai and touched this then its entirely spoiled forever"

the very large models are competent enough now at very minor tasks that a lot of the very high ranking code monkeys are starting to tolerate them in limited quantity, so that stance is starting to lose its foundation pretty hard.

(i say this as someone who has never paid for claude code.)

ai/llms @icedquinn @thing Sadly I am sick (like, genuinely, i am ill at the moment) and very tired, but I don't agree that the technology producing output of slightly higher quality than before should in any way be a reason to accept it
