what terminals do others use, and why do you like it?

I currently use alacritty, but I'm considering trying out some other things. prior to using alacritty, I used rxvt-unicode-truecolor-wideglyphs.

things I care about:
symbols rendering. I do not want to use a powerline font just to get symbols, ideally it has a built-in renderer for them. however if it has tons of other features, I'm willing to overlook this
relatively low memory usage, or a daemon model. I often find myself with like 10+ terminals open, so if each one uses even like 128MB of ram, that starts to become an issue because that's a full gigabyte already.
customizeable. the more configuration options, the better.
I want to give a workflow using tabs a try, instead of having a bunch of different windows. but this is a bit more optional.

@solonovamax I use ghostty because it is easily configurable, good out of the box, supports xterm-fallback behavior on ssh and just integrates nicely into COSMIC and GNOME
