My vscode (vscodium to be precise) has been starting to break with rust-analyzer with the latest update.
This is it. After using this app for 10? years, I am actually genuinely trying to switch to Zed. They have ruined it
neocat_shocked

Now, I get that Zed devs also like AI. But they seem much more reasonable in how they build software than Microsoft, which, yes, the bar is on the floor, but you still get what I mean I think

@star you could also give intellij/rustrover a try, maybe?

I rather like the jetbrains suite of software tbh

@solonovamax I used JetBrains stuff a lot, but I quite like/prefer the "lightweightness" of Visual Studio Code and Zed "just" being a plain editor with no specific purpose, other than to be extended and used

...that sounds lewder than i wanted it to??

@star yeah, intellij & friends aren't exactly lightweight by any means

but they do so many useful things, so I'm fine with it

@solonovamax yeah that's true. especially when i had to endure java for a living, i really liked intellij. but eventually, i just personally preferred speed and being in control more than having a great set of features

@star tbh I feel I'm in control enough with intellij (I refuse to update to the new ui, and am still using the old ui <3) (though, I haven't taken the neovim pill yet)
