@alexia A pretty nice idea packaged in a mediocre package by engineers who are skilled and talented at what they do, but are being held back by venture capitalism to make a second rate product; which then easily gets millions of users, also because of venture capitalism and them being able to throw "fuck you" money at every problem they have.
@alexia to me, personally, it is a visualization of so much that is going wrong with the capitalist system we live in. Knowing how much better this protocol could be hurts, and I know that some of the people making it also know this, which makes it all the more tragic.
@alexia It is pretty complicated and had to invent some "new" things to accomplish what can already be done with existing things. And the parts that are currently still harder to decentralize could definitely have been made easier to spread out when the protocol was designed, but there clearly was no will to do that
