@mira @Reni Don't you think that it might just be the case that a lot of these people genuinely have no idea about the full context of that symbol and that a lot of them would likely be willing to take it out of their bio if one told them nicely but firmly

@mira @Reni well to the swastika this obviously doesn't apply since that is incredibly common knowledge and something taught in school in lots of places (especially germany)

and with the swastika you also do not have any potential for benefit of the doubt because there is no "oh but they were doing x or y or z" at all with the literal Nazi empire
