mini-rant (short) @star I think it is usually unethical though, in our society*. It's what many people associate with non-monogamy unfortunately. I think it's worth specifying both whether it's ethical or not, similar to a tone indicator.

*However, it is not by default. Sorry for being pedantic

mini-rant (short) @fugi I personally am of the opinion that the argument of choosing wording based on what society expects things to be called is a slippery slope which does not usually align with my own moral compass /nm /lh
