@star i remember back when they started enforcing 2FA it was really broken. The website loaded the payment view before the 2FA view (and still does). When you were a little fast enough you could just click on the "pay now" button before the 2FA overlay was shown and you could just skip 2FA even though it was enabled and required for payment.

@star by now they fixed this by (I have to guess here) an actual check that you completed 2FA before the web app accepts your press on the "pay now" button. The 2FA overlay still gets regularly shown only after the payment view loaded.

@star physical keys on mobile are such garbage. No I don't want to push my yubikey against the back of my phone for NFC, just let me plug it in!

@fugi @star I think I have one or two places where plugging in will work, but most default to NFC and freak out if I plug it in

They have an extra option to try the login with a Security Key. And it "not working" on mobile is a lie. I can use my Yubikey to sign into other apps' 2FA; or my Vaultwarden Passkeys, or literally anything

@star not defending them but I have some troubles with webauthn (which I think this is) on mobile despite my bitwarden passkeys working just fine on desktop
