@gwenthefops because just doing the perfect pattern that will never lose is really boring, its super slow and there isnt much to be invested in if you know for a fact that in however many hours time it will be completed and "won" if thats even a feature

@tesstherefusinggirl I don't mean doing the perfect space filling curve like was happening when the hunger party showed up. I agree that that is boring.

but trying to coordinate how to not close yourself in, while reaching the food as quickly as possible, is still a challenge.

Or, heck, you can have 2 parties, the "perfect" versus "efficiency", but "efficiency" isn't going straight for food, is just not wasting hours upon hours of zigzagging across the map.

@gwenthefops i mean with an efficiency thing you are still liable to get fucked over by food spawns, and (if i was someone who wanted perfection) id just choose slow perfection over slightly faster but a chance to just die from bad luck, and realistically if you are plotting out a perfect path, very few are going to do that, and even if they do want to plot out a way to do it optimally you would be fighting against those who want pure perfection anyway, or others who had worked out a different route of efficiency and everything would fall apart anyway

@star @tesstherefusinggirl Considering someone had a crashout over this, I disagree. If you don't mind when your plans get spoiled because someone wanted to actively act against you, great for you, but some creatures are very sensitive to that

@gwenthefops @tesstherefusinggirl For someone sensitive to having your plan spoiled, there is no way in hell that a collaborative game ends well for them, except if all goes exactly as they say. If you have one such individual in a group, you should try to cater to their needs and see what can be done to make everyone happy, or at the very least not have someone become super upset. In a public collaborative game, this is literally impossible to do.
