disgusting capitalism @awoo if you buy that much in bulk, you can likely bring down the average cost of food to feed a person for one day to about €3 (or even lower!!). This means that those €700.000 could have also been used to feed 639 unhoused individuals for a full 365 days. Leipzig officially has around 950 individuals that are currently lacking permanent shelter, meaning that about 67% of Leipzig's unhoused population could have been fed for an entire year, every single day. And that's like. Not even the best way to use those €700.000.
