both Christmas and birthdays are the things I feel the most fake in social interaction

like, okay, it's true that for starters I don't care about my birthday, but we've not talked in the whole year, why are you calling me to wish me a happy birthday?

@kitten I get that a lot. It seems like a pointless chore to me. It doesn't spark joy, so I got rid of it
