random thoughts about filtration masks and respirators
My respiratory mask (3M 6100 series knockoff) has an exhaust valve. This makes it inherently a little less safe for the people around me, since the air I exhale is exhausted back into the environment unfiltered.However comma I would argue that this is still largely different compared to not wearing a mask at all, since I am protecting myself and others by staying healthy and by not catching any airborne virus or other infection from other people which I could then spread!
