trans discourse, "what does the "*" in 'trans*' mean?" I've been asked what the asterisk in "trans*" means. This depends largely on who you ask. To me, personally, The * is used to include all possible suffixes, such as "trans" (no suffix), "transgender" and "transsexual".

This makes much more sense in German than in English, because German has many more "common" suffixes, such as "transgeschlechtlich", "transgender", "transident", or "transsexuell". I see it written this way a lot, and so I just copied it, because I personally liked the intention. Is this "better" than writing "trans"? No. I think this would be a pointless discussion to have. I just wrote it this way because I am used to it

mh-, negative social interactions, trauma I had an interaction with a critter online today about a topic that I am passionate about and that critter wasn't that nice to me in that conversation. I felt small in front (virtually) of them and like they were being overly sarcastic towards me. And that really hurt me neocat_sob
