@fugi @stellavie What I really dislike about fish is that it sort of doesn't work with bash scripts, but then also is not enough enhancement/change to make it really attractive to me. I then prefer the approach of something like nushell, which is very forward about being bash-incompatible to introduce a whole new way of doing shell

the one i mainly type with right now is a build around a KBDfans Lite R3 (65%) and the other one is one I have in my office, which is a PAW65 :3

Mechanical Keyboard acquisition :3, spending money asparklessparkles_pinkThe planned build:

The keyboard kit itself is the KBDfans Agar in translucent purple; a 60% layout keyboard using the silicone block mount system. The PCB features RGB underglow, QMK/VIA firmware and hotswap MX sockets. I did not opt for either the EC switch variant nor the dual-mode (bluetooth) PCB, since that PCB with bluetooth support was sold out, and, quite honestly, I have little to no idea about the EC switch world. There was also the option for a plateless build, but I opted for a polycarbonate plate, since I prefer the sound profile of polycarb plates neobot_happy_blep

The stabilizers will be Typeplus + YIKB screw-in stabilizers, which got recommended to me previously, and cost an additional $15USD.

The main keycaps I'll use are the PBTfans Astraeus (+novelties), which I think will complement the overall color scheme really nicely, and which I plan to combine with these cool transparent novelties of the PBTfans Lucy R2 because I think they'll pair well with the translucency of the Agar's case.

For the switches, I went with the WEKT Lucy V5 Silent Linear Switches (the fact that both these and that one keycap set is called "Lucy" is just coincidence on my end; I think that they are named this way because of Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which I can factually confirm for the keycaps, but I don't know about the switches). I actually already bought these switches a week ago, and I am absolutely in love with them mochaheart. The typing feel they give is just fucking amazing!!!!!!!! They are nearly dead-silent, with the only sound they do emit being nicely deep and thocky. Can highly recommend these!

Oh yeah and then there's also this fun white brick which is a quartz stone wristrest neocat_melt_blep

There are just so many things to keep in mind, so many ways to do things, and, especially when you go slightly out of/beyond the spec to add functionality you really care about, so many interactions with existing functionality that are just neocat_googly_shocked to keep in mind and think about
