@ireneista it's not something we noticed but it would've definitely made it more coherent! we use all the metadata-aids we can when working on something so utterly foreign like Evocation is. so it would be good :)
@blokyk god, i started playing it when it just came out and with my RSI it was impossible to play for more than a few hours (and even that was haphazard) ... i wishhh tho i want to play it so baddd
the like button is such a meaningless signal. its just "i send you dopamine".. things it means for me: - i feel for ya, hope you get better soon - love your post - this is important - i agree with you and would like to communicate that - you are making sense to me and i can understand you
and now its impossible for me to comprehend what is actually happening with the person, but it takes up the space that could've been used for a quick comment that actually has nutritional content
@ireneista it was so fun to write too!! like i get worried about putting a take like this up (publicly) but actually it is just in line with consensus reality :)
when you are drafting a software protocol spec of the kind that gets an RFC*, how do you go about that? is it just a lot of talking, or is there usually a reference implementation written first & refined, before that is subsequently described?
* yes i know it doesn't confer any special status. i mean big successful protocols that are kind of institutional though - irc, http, oauth, posix, quic
